Claremont Speedway

Saturday, August 4, 2001, found the Club at Claremont Speedway, New Hampshire, for a day of fun.  This followed a busy week for some club members who attended New Hampshire Int'l. Speedway's Vintage Days, Aug 1-2.

Claremont Speedway allowed the Club track time from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  The last session of the afternoon, just before 3:00 p.m., was strictly for rookie drivers - drivers with little or no track experience.  Megan Blanchette, granddaughter of Bob Seller, took the #49 Pinto to the track while Jenny Bonzani, daughter of Pete Bonzani ran the #60 Vega.  What a memorable afternoon for our rookies.

A club picnic followed the afternoon session complete with hamburgers, hotdogs, homemade sausage as well as all the fixin's.  Evening brought our the regular Saturday night show at Claremont with two features for NEAR, one in the early evening and the other later in the show.
