DOUG FARROW
EMAIL: dfarrow32@yahoo.com

Doug got started in racing through his grandfather, W.G. Fitzgerald, who, along with Ken Squier, owned part of Thunder Road and was an original owner of Catamount Stadium in the 1960's. Doug owns his grandfather's #32, a '32 Ford driven by Bobby Bissell and then Johnny Gammell.  The crew consisted of Doug’s father, Ted Farrow, his cousin, Bill Mackay, and his uncle, Ed Mackay, who built the motors for the car.  Both drivers had many wins with the car, which Gammell drove to the 1964 Vermont State Championship. John Gammell, now in his 70’s, lives in St. Johnsbury, Vt, and drives the car at NEAR meets at Thunder Road.  The current pit crew consists of Bill Allen and Wayne Vincent, another Thunder Road driver in the 60’s, with assistance from Tom, Andrew, Josh, and Noelle Farrow.
